I had never seen these before - stacked all over the pier near the USS Midway. Evidently the crab swims in but then can't swim out. They even had the cages sized so the smaller crabs could swim in and get caught all in the same trap. How clever! You can tell I grew up in the Midwest - but do love to eat seafood!
San Diego Seaport Village is the only place I have seen these circular kites. With the beautiful Gumbo Limbo trees and the Coronado Bridge in view, this is such a relaxing area of Sand Diego....and cool!
The USS Midway Aircraft Carrier and Museum in San Diego is amazing. This anchor was HUGE and quite nicely colored - happened to catch one of the many sailboats along with it!
