Eyeshots > Daisies for Mother's Day!

In Floriography, Daisy means "Innocence", which to me is quite symbolic of Mother's Day. The innocence of a new born child, and perhaps that of parenting...an unbelievable amount of work and responsibility.

Let me know if you agree, and Happy Mother's Day to all the Smug Mothers!
Eyeshots > "Two Lips", as my granddaughter calls them...is the Declaration of Love.
Hard to find in Scottsdale, but pulled this photo from my trip to Victoria, BC last May to Butchart Gardens. A must see if you are in Victoria!

Robert Butchart began manufacturing Portland cement in 1888 near Owen Sound, Ontario, Canada. He & wife Jennie traveled to the west coast of Canada for the rich limestone deposits used in cement production. Eventually, they established their home near his quarry on Tod Inlet on Vancouver Island. In 1909, when the limestone quarry was exhausted, Jennie set about turning it into a Sunken Garden. The Gardens are magnificent and ever evolving. Ownership still remains within the Butchart family.
Eyeshots > Moonscape at the Desert Botanical Gardens. Fantastic night photography class - this was taken with my 50mm, my tripod down low and a pen flashlight. It was very dark by now around 8:30 pm and the blur of the cactus needles was caused by my flashlight swirling ever so slightly. One of the little tricks we learned in the class.

Eyeshots > My neighbor has beautiful flowers on her back patio. So I took this photo over the wall - it was so lovely blooming there.

Eyeshots > MINI BOUQUET - Surprise gift from my traveling husband
Eyeshots > Central Park Water Lily - like no other!
Eyeshots > In the Victorian era, the Water Lily meant absolute truth & purity. It is described as the "Queen of the Water".

Just returned from spending 6 days in NYC - my first visit. Didn't expect to find these beautiful Water Lilies still in bloom.
